The documentary “Too Hot to Work” examines the health, economic, and environmental challenges of a phenomenon that is still largely underreported: heat stress. Yet it is already responsible for thousands of deaths each year around the world.
Construction workers in Qatar, agricultural workers in El Salvador, and UPS delivery drivers making countless deliveries in non-air-conditioned trucks… everywhere in the world, heat kills. And climate change, with its repeated heat waves, has in just a few years become a real threat to the health of these millions of workers subjected to relentless work rates.
This documentary focuses specifically on these “frontline” workers, raising a key question: will we be able to keep working and maintain productivity in an even hotter world?
